How to Use the Fertility Test

The FMD India male fertility test kit can be easily used at home. The kit comes with detailed stepwise instructions on how to use the contents and get a definitive result. If all the instructions are followed properly, the answers are visible within a span of 10 minutes.

Understanding the Results

The test results are easy to comprehend and provide a clear indication if the subject has a low sperm count. The kit comes with a checking device that has two markers, C or Control and T or Test. If the examination has been properly done, a red coloured line will appear against the C marker. This indicates that all steps enumerated in the instructions booklet have been accurately followed. The strength of the red colour - whether it's strong or faint - does not matter.

Positive Results – Normal or High Sperm Count

After the test is complete, a reddish line will appear at the T or Test marker if the result is positive. This implies that the sperm count is at minimum 20 million per millilitre. Nine out of ten men have a sperm count of this number or more. The appearance of the line indicates that you have a healthy sperm count which is perfectly capable of helping your wife conceive. If it has been more a year or so of trying to conceive, then there may a different problem that is beyond the purview of this test and we suggest you contact a doctor at the earliest. Please note, as with the C marker, the strength of the red line does not matter. It can be very faint or very strong – if the line is present, the test gave a positive sign.

Invalid Test – Needs to Retaken

If no line appears against the Control marker, then the results were invalid. It is possible that one or more stages of the test were not completed successfully. There can be various reasons why the exam was invalid and has to be retaken. For instance, each part of the analysis is time-bound and if even there was a lapse or delay of 1-2 minutes, the kit would not show the correct result. We suggest that in such cases, you should retake the test with a new kit within a time period of 2-7 days.
